WE CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU

Mass times for Sunday obligation are Saturday 5:00pm and Sunday 7:30am, 9:00am, 10:30am, 12 noon, 5:00pm, and 6:30pm (Spanish.) During the summer months we also have mass at St. Gertrude’s, our Mission Church in Island Heights, on Saturdays at 5:30pm and Sunday morning at 9:00am. Please join us! Whichever mass you attend, make sure to stop and introduce yourself.

FOR THE FAMILY

Children's Liturgy: Each Sunday morning at both the 9:00am and 10:30am Masses, we offer a special Children’s Liturgy of the Word for our “Little Children of God.” Children aged preschool to 1st grade are called forward and sent forth with adult leaders to hear the gospel geared for their understanding and complete a craft activity. Children return to their families prior to communion.

Children’s Youth Choir: Open to all children of any school in grades 2-6, our Children’s Youth Choir sings at the 9:00 or 10:30 am Sunday mass, twice a month.  Call Ms. Gina if you are interested, 732-349-0018 ext. 2306

Religious Education is provided by St. Joseph's Church for public school children. This includes instruction for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. Please visit the Religious Education page for more information.

Junior Lectors: The Junior Lector Reader program prepares young parishioners in grades 5-12 to proclaim the Word of the Lord through the second reading at  Sunday Masses.

Altar Servers: Assistance at the Holy Altar of the Lord is open to students in grades 5-12. If you are interested, please contact Catherine Werner at 732-349-0018 ext. 2229.

Religious Education Family Mass:  All families are invited to join us for any of our scheduled masses.  On the second Sunday of each month, however, the families of our Religious Education program intentionally gather as a community to attend the 10:30am mass together.

Let’s not forget the rest of the family. Become a Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, an Usher or a Greeter, or join the choir. These are just a few ways in which you can be involved in St. Joseph’s Parish.
