Children attending schools other than St. Joseph Grade School in grades 1 – 8 should enroll in Religious Education where they will receive preparation for the sacraments.

Baptism is regularly celebrated on the first, second, and fourth Sundays of each month. Parents wishing to have their baby baptized are required to attend a baptism preparation class.  Godparents are also required to attend the class. Once the class is completed, please call the parish office to schedule a date for the Baptism.

Those who desire the Sacrament of Marriage at St. Joseph's or Saint Gertrude's, please call the parish office to make arrangements or for more information at 732-349-0018 ext. 2202.

Adults who wish to complete their initiation sacraments (Baptism, Communion and Confirmation) or who wish to become Catholic should call the Religious Education Office at 732-349-0018 ext. 2236. This is also for those children over the age of 7 who need to be baptized.
